Dissolved Air Filtration (DAF) Clarification Process
The CAP Flotation Clarification Process is used to remove suspended solids, fats and oils from liquid streams. Applications range from the treatment of high value product streams to general factory effluent. In many cases, valuable products are recovered from these effluent streams. Food grade coagulants and flocculating aids are used in a dissolved air flotation process to combine the impurities and air into large buoyant flocs.
Benefits
Removal of almost all suspended solids in one operation
Short retention times to minimise product degradation or reduce plant size
Simple plant for minimal maintenance and low capital outlay
Low operating costs using readily available food grade products
